When it comes to my illustrations, my biggest inspiration is color, shape, line, and anything personal. I try to express things that are difficult for me to talk about while trying to take a surrealist approach to it. I struggled a lot with this piece and if it weren’t for my close friends and professor, I would’ve given up on this piece a long time ago. This illustration represents not only something personal to me but also represents the direction I want my art to go. It’s a reminder of the faith that my friends and professors have for me and my art.
