Tethered

$210.00

Bee Smiley
Tethered, 2024
Digital media
10 x 10 inches
Framed

This piece is apart of a trilogy that I used for my senior art exhibit. It speaks to the feeling of loss or disconnect from a soulmate, as though everything around you has gone still and you’re paused in time. It’s inspired by the concept of the red string theory from Chinese mythology. The theory suggests that no matter what, we are all connected to our soulmates via a red string that is as long as the distance between us, even if it feels infinite.
