Flesh

$980.00

Melody Suero
Flesh, 2024
Wool (wet and needle felted), aluminum wire, linen, and wool yarn
76.5 x 9 x 10 inches

What inspired this artwork was Bram Stoker's Dracula, both the movie and book. I am obsessed with vampires and recently with this movie and the concepts it touches on, such as, women’s sexuality, xenophobia, fear of change, etc. My piece is a product of all the visuals and concepts in the movie/book, and how those components were digested through my mind.
