Free Arts NYC provides under-served children and families with a unique combination of educational arts and mentoring programs that help them to foster the self-confidence and resiliency needed to realize their fullest potential.

Cultural Enrichment

Through our Cultural Enrichment program children and families are provided with regular opportunities to visit museums and attend performances of theatre, music, and dance. Cultural Enrichment complements all of our other programs, as children and parents are able to use their experiences at museums and performances to enhance their discussion and creation of art..

Recent field trips included the following:

  • A Martha Graham dance performance
  • The Danny Simmons’ studio/gallery
  • The Maurice Sendak exhibit at the Jewish Museum
  • The South Street Seaport Museum
  • The Culture Project
  • The New Victory Theatre
  • A violin concert at Merkin Hall
  • The International Film Festival at the Brooklyn Museum
  • El Museo del Barrio
  • Cirque du Soleil
  • Carnegie Hall
  • Guggenheim Museum
