Free Arts Multicultural Arts Camp 2008

Puppet Workshop

During the last two weeks in July, 100 children ages 7-12 from the Department of Homeless Services and Little Sisters of the Assumption explored art from neighborhoods and cultures throughout NYC! Volunteers from Goldman Sachs, Duetsche Bank and Calvin Klein buddied up with the children and rotated through many activities.

They experienced music and dance from different neighborhoods as well as creating their own works of art inspired by the many cultures that inhabit NYC. The children also worked together to create a "community dance" that they performed on stage on the final day of camp!
