Fashion lovers, Free Arts supporters and shop-a-holics alike came out for a three-day shopping event featuring the Shop from the heART booth by Free Arts. The booth featured new clothes from designers including Marchesa, Akris, Tibi, Miu Miu, Catherine Malandrino, Naeem Khan and more as well as gently worn dresses from Mary Alice Stephenson and other style icons. Proceeds from the sales of these items went directly to Free Arts as well as a percentage of sales from VIP night with Hilary Duff, Michelle Trachtenberg and other stars.

Hunter Boot and Free Arts NYC partnered for a back to school shopping event hosted by Amanda Tisch Weitzman, Lindsay Taylor and Lucy Sykes Rellie. Parents and Children came out to Limelight Marketplace for an afternoon of cupcakes, clowning and customization! Kids enjoyed entertainment from the much-loved Sammy and Tudie as on site artists hand-painted everyone’s new fall Hunter Boots.

The Details Magazine and Free Arts NYC partnership kicked off at the Details Guild Launch Party, an event attended by more than 500 people on September 16th. Guests enjoyed cocktails and tacos as they listened to music played by the Misshapes and viewed limited edition artwork by famous street artist, Blek Le Rat.
Proceeds from the sale of all prints featured at the event will benefit Free Arts NYC Details Street Studio program, giving Free Arts teens the exciting opportunity to work with famous artists as they create public art.

Just in time for Back to School, Billy’s Bakery designed an exclusive Baking for Good cupcake decorated with candy pencils, apples, scissors and notebooks. 15% of each purchase of the Back to School cupcake from Billy’s Bakery - Tribeca went to Free Arts NYC.

A group of NYC British Expats, culture and art lovers and locals for the collective exhibition of art and photography to gathered to celebrate British culture as part of BritFest NYC with the theme of "Brits, Banter and World Cup Football." The exhibition ran from June 1st-30th at Klimat in the East Village, with proceeds from the opening supporting Free Arts NYC.

| May 14, 2010 | 11th Annual Art Auction Benefit |

Free Arts NYC joined forces with David Yurman and Vanity Fair to raise over $550,000 at this year's Annual Art Auction Benefit! The evening was hosted by Mary Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen.
The event’s co-chairs, Free Arts Board Members Amy Sacco and Mary Alice Stephenson, along with Sybil and Evan Yurman, spent the evening sipping Patron cocktails and Henriot champagne and bidding on over 90 works by Spencer Tunick, Yoko Ono and Alex Katz among others. During the live auction, Free Arts Board Member and auctioneer, Simon de Pury incited bidding wars on artworks by Dan Colen, Christopher Wool, and Massimo Vitali.
Others who came out to show their support included contributing artists Nigel Barker, Todd DiCiurcio and Steven Sebring along with Benefit Committee members Hilary Rhoda, Sean Avery, Yvonne Force-Villareal and Rachel Roy. Free Arts NYC and Hostess partnered to kick off the "Portraits of the American CupCake" Campaign celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Hostess Squiggle.
Celebs including Rosie O’Donnell, Padma Lashkmi (Top Chef), Chelsea Handler (Author and TV host), Chaske Spencer (Twilight), Jordin Sparks (American Idol) and Kelly Rutherford (Gossip Girl), among others, have created artwork featuring the squiggle. The artwork was be auctioned off to benefit Free Arts NYC.

Over 500 guests came together to celebrate the release of the new book "Street Art New York," by Steven Harrington and Jaime Rojo. Factory Fresh Gallery in Bushwick was filled with 73 artworks by over 60 street artists and raised over $17,000 for Free Arts NYC programs!

Together with Actress/Artist Jane Seymour, 30 children from a Free Arts partner agency in Brooklyn were paired with 30 volunteers to create a special community mural at the International Art Expo. The event took place on Saturday, April 27th, the same day the Expo was generously donating 10% of all ticket sales to Free Arts. That morning, Free Arts was also featured in a segment on NBC’s Today in New York – check out the clip here. Many thanks to all the volunteers, supporters and the International Art Expo for making the afternoon such a success!

Designer Sang A Im-Propp hosted an event at Mixed Greens Gallery in support of Free Arts NYC alongside friends Ann Caruso, Olivia Chantecaille, Karen Duffy, Lauren Goodman, Genevieve Jones, Ferebee Taube and Free Arts Board Member, Mary Alice Stephenson.
Sang A collaborated with over 15 different artists to create one-of-a-kind Flash bag clutches. The bags are being sold to benefit Free Arts NYC. To check out the clutches that are still available visit Sang A's website.
