Free Arts NYC provides under-served children and families with a unique combination of educational arts and mentoring programs that help them to foster the self-confidence and resiliency needed to realize their fullest potential.

Population Served

Free Arts NYC programs are available to children in New York City communities who are defined as at-risk. Our children live in environments where they are exposed to social, physical, and economic risk factors. These factors decrease the likelihood that the child will succeed in life.

This last program year Free Arts NYC helped 1,700 at-risk children and families. Youth were age 6 - 14 and 96% were of minority ethnic backgrounds. 100% were low-income.
